531 Competition

mines a late 531c - 1995. when i've sorted out a parts change i'll be asking about the tube angles. not as steep as the one for sale on here a while back.

They have 25% off after christmas shaun - get saving :)

BTW how is your Aende coming along?

Sounds like a killer frame :). The silly steep angle road frames were 1975 -77 but the pros stopped riding them so for the road everything basically went 74/74. Then the TT crowd started lo pro and funny bikes LOL

Chris Marshall was expecting me to drop the frame off so looking to take a day off work. I was looking at the decal situation and someone has kindly sent me some but not quite the same as the ones on Steve Denton's bike so going to have a think.

This week's work was trying to sort out some shimano stuff, I bought an Alps bike (never heard of them before I bought it) for the early shimano on it, I had it stored at work in the basement but was told it has to go so dismantled. Took all the crud off the drivetrain and its a first gen black shimano with a chain guard with a T code which is an oddity as that's a 90's code!

Never mind it's first gen and black :)

Black DA will be superb; wouldn't of guessed you'd of chosen that groupset though

This road is literally just around the corner; I need to go & see which was Pongo's shop...

That's a very recognisable picture :)

The Aende top tube braze ons go down the left so that's Campag or Shimano brakes (ignoring the alternatives), plus the 130 BCD of the Dura Ace is a bit more small ring friendly for my pootling. Aside from that it's SR / Ofmega / kyokuto stuff more than likely :)

Broke a broomstick trying to remove the stem today :(
