I don't get it. You can get a top shelf carbon fiber calfee road tandem custom built for you for half that price new. Very few people actually ride tandems. Even fewer ride off road tandems, but the percentage of consumers who buy triplets is like zero. Now you want one of those zero percents to spend 25k for a used bicycle..... sure would be fun to ride though......

I remember seeing another offroad tandem built for like 6 or 8 people about a year ago (it might have been a GT but I'm not sure). It was listed at $40,000 but that seller was smarter. He marketed it to businesses as a "team building" exercise. I guess the idea being that if you and your business colleagues can successfully pedal a 6-8 person bike together, then surely you can function well together in the workplace.

Have seen this one in person. The seller had it on display at his annual spring sale last year. I think he's been sitting on it a few years. I doubt many were ever made. I think I recall the original list price on it being more in the 13K neighborhood though. 55/50/46 gearing.... gotta love that high end. Imagine the speed once you'd get it rolling.

I say this as an owner of an Mtn bike tandem for the past 20 years and have spent a lot of time in the captains seat:
The front is cool, you are in charge, you know whats going on, The back is fun and if things ever get too hairy, you can always bail off the rear, but that middle position.....Man, that would really take some guts.........

But then again, strictly on the road, it's all good as long as you don't get a front flat. Guarantee that nobody would pass you on the downhill........
