I can't remember which trails we rode on the "avoid the nuptials" ride - but it's sounding good.
I'll stick some grippier rubber on - the Conti Twisters might not be the best choice.

"avoid the nuptials" was the red route, and you and Smokes also did the "black" section with the large-ish, non-rollable drop-offs.

I was running Nobby Nic's with no problems.

I was actually quite surprised at how much non-retro rubber was in evidence at Leith Hill.

I'm going for either a 2.1 Velociraptor or 2.2 Dart SC on the front.
And a very skinny 1.9 Smoke Lite or maybe a 1.95 Porcupine at the back.

I'm not bringing the AluO this time - going for a long-travel option this time 80mm :shock:

The Nics are my Inbred (the frightfully modern thing). I'll be in the Explosif with zero travel and 96/97 Kona Scratch & Sniff for tyres...

was up there last night for a couple of laps conditions were nice and fast i ran maxis crossmarks and didn't have any probs with grip!

not sure i'm gonna be able to run my retro bike as the back wheels out so may have to run me modern bike

8 speed rear would be lovely I usually run a tioga disc but it's feeling a little fragile and I don't wanna break it! I'll chuck both bike in the van though
