2015 Austro-Daimler TT Carbon Limited.

There is a black hole in your workspace.
So that's where the money went😱 .
Wow. That's gonna be more stealthy than a B2 bomber!
I'm very happy to hear that as I thought it was starting to look like a flight line fire truck 😄.
I want to have a go on it 😀
You are more than welcome to come to beautiful Murrieta and drink Mexican beer on the porch, help me chase the wandering pack of coyotes away, and you can have a go on the entire fleet 🙂.
it seems the b2 bomber worked well lately, so shall this
I hope so, it's the details that eat up the time. But if the details are right it should perform well.
Just so long as the rider is not the weight of the Bunker Buster…….😂
I'm not the lightest thing around at 78 kg at 176 cm so I'm more of a bunker bender. I agree though I need to knock a few kg off of that😖.
So when is the first TT, Mike?

Do make sure you put a bunch of miles in on the bike before going for it. These TT bikes handle VERY differently to regular road bikes. Definitely make sure you do a windy ride and its a good idea to get a front wheel that hasn't got such a deep rim as a reserve.

Getting to know the bike should be a lot of fun, I will take it easy until we know each other but that is still a few weeks off as parts are still arriving.
I should have the brakes done sometime tomorrow as I have received Swissstop Black Prince carbon pads, the longer titanium bolts to get full engagement in all the available threads in the brake bosses, and a Goldie Lookin Chain from KMC.
The plan for tomorrow is to run the bolts through the lathe to trim to the correct length and cut the hex on one down to 3mm, piece of cake.
Reassemble the brakes with a precision lube with the new pads and bolts and do the final adjustment. If there's time left I will fit and cut the chain.

There is a lot left to do.

Thank You Everyone For Taking Time To Respond.
I Wish You All A Wonderful Day: Mike

I Wish You All A Wonderful Day: Mike

Time trialling is a very british thing and goes back all the way back to 1895. All that history yet we are so far behind you guys , when it comes to what our events offer.
Our roads are way to busy these days and we have lost so many courses due to traffic, risk of death(actual death :( ), road alterations, etc and some of the remaining courses are only used on particular days, or times of day. Back in the mid-late 80's, when i competed, things were getting sketchy, but there were so many events locally and nationally. In the summer months and with long evenings i could ride to 3-4 a week that were close, if i wanted to, and with short drives i could easily have done 1 a day.
There are some time trials, and road races, on race car tracks, but tbh i think it is time to do more on them(alot have nothing going on and are surprisingly cheap to rent) and have more classes in one event. Here it is all a bit of a mess tbh and there is too much division between events for ages and abilities. I havent looked but we might not even have para TT's and they just have to mix it with the able bodied.
It is time to put TT events in safer environments and have every class you can imagine with loads of competitors paying sensible entry fees. With a captive audience the trade can get involved, pay for stalls, and sell/promote their stuff. I really do not understand why the Sea Otter Classic isn't used as a template for events here when we have venues that are so easy to get to and aren't all flat wide open ww2 airfields.
The race tracks get some extra money, which they really need as spectator numbers at anything apart from BTCC and Superbike is not far from one man and his dog, and i am sure that out of the several hundred people, you might get at the TT , there will be a bunch who will be motorsport interested and might buy a trackday, a driving course, or become future ticket buyers.

Anyhow....rant over. Thank you for letting us know about the events. Sounds like alot of fun and 30second intervals could give you alot of carrots to chase which REALLY helps. It also helps the rider behind though! 😆
