2014 - Rides Planning / Suggestions

Since Gmac's a roady and a DAEC and you K have offered to help organise this I'd suggest this one was handed over to you lot for whatever date next year is chosen. If I did attend i'd still be slow and dont think leading a bike run from right at the back is good. Might have worked for WW1 generals but not much use on a cycle run.

I'm not going to get involved with any planning for next year cause work is going to be a bit manic with the Commonwealth games , referendum and Ryder cup. Not forgetting the usual cup final , orange walks etc. There's no time off or holidays allowed for the whole of July and part of August then again in September there's a 2 week period where it will be unlikely that time off is granted. Happy days

In between I'll be expected to fit in a family holiday and weekends away camping

Can I cut to the chase and put forward the 5th of July for the 5 Ferries?

Fine with me, please organise away. Once we have a firmer plan we can maybe let the rest of Retrobike know, it might interest some of the non MacRetro.

I would be up for that but can't commit till nearer the time as work has to come first and this is a busy time for me

3 Pistes Sportive - June 1st is a temptation but might be a stretch

bivi adventure is must me in 2014, would like to see this early May (if Spring epic is April)

looks as if the road national could work in August/September?

No, I'm not sharing her with anyone. Plus I'm not letting on where I've got her locked up.

Josef Fritzl comes to mind.

At least I'll be able to say "I know him" when you're in all the papers and the first item on the news on the telly.
