2014 - Rides Planning / Suggestions

at 51 seconds in it looks like the decent into Torridon that broke me completely, never felt so knackered riding down hill, she makes it look easy.

Alright, let's see where we are:

Strathpuffer - January 18-19th
Kaiser, Jamie, epicyclo. ZZ and Velo pit-bitchin'

Dunkeld Baltic Bawbags - Early Feb TBD

Spring Epic - TBD (Early April, or dare I say May? TBD)
Options:
Torridon to Ullapool?
Mallaig/ Ardnamuchan area?
Shed's Ciaran Path, Devils Staircase / Kinlochleven extravanganza.
Clubby's Glen Clova. Mount Keen.
Gypsy Glen. Glen Tilt.
Others?

SSEC Northern Ireland - April 25-27th
Jamie, possibly Kaiser and zigzag.

3 Pistes Sportive - June 1st
47p2, epicyclo. Kaiser leaning towards this.

Bravo Scozia - June 7-8th
Quite a few folks.

10 UTB - June 21-22nd
Loads of folks.

Bivi / Bothy Adventure - TBD Summer

Macretro National - TBD

Roady - 5 Ferries - TBD

Roady - Scottish National - TBD

SSEC is on a shaky peg for me at the moment, I'm more leaning to Forth Fat 14 (blame Jamie :P ) I'm also really considering the 3 pistes sportive in place of Bravo Scotia. I'd be quite happy to help with a 5 ferries attempt anaw. And I'm signed up for 10UTB, just need to get Retro status :)

Although I suggested 5 ferries, I'm out of that one. To pull it off would require a dedicated squad of fast moving roadies which rules me out.

I'd prefer if someone with a more dedicted road interest took over organising Macretro's road meets. I'm too slow and unfit for such cycle challenges, but happy to help in the planning.

Was thinking SSEC but I dont reckon I'll be there this year but will be half fatting with the full fat crew at Forth Fat 14, thats a lot of fat !

Some of my area CTC folk do this every year and they dont set the tarmac on fire

Aye, I've saw groups from work do it, no one I'd really call a quick cyclist.
