Absolutely non retro from top to tail, but it is steel and steel is real right kids?
Cotic Soul 2009. Built up singlespeed for now as I have run out of bike funds so have to wait for mechs and shifters. Will prob run in my favourite 1x9 set up eventually.

First ride will be early on Sunday morning before the Grand Prix.

Thats what I was thinking.

One of these or the BFG was on my recent shortlist too, but with all the retro XC builds couldn't justify spending so much, not yet anyway. Look and sound great though. this one no exception. nice.


Are the Saint cranks staying, or on to get ya rolling?

have a play with the forks on sunday, and report back as to your prefered travel setting, i too have talas rlc's but on a simple. so technically you are riding the same setup as me at the mo.

id like to know how stiff the rear end is without a chainstay bridge

in a few years i might be able to afford a simple

the whole frame is quite flexy, imo, but that is part of the character. the rear end is plain guage cromo so power goes sraight down, but in the woods over roots etc.. the bike is very nimble. in contrast my other singlespeed is a cove stiffee which is so rigid that it tends to highlight how other parts flex on the bike, to the point where you feel forks flex, and cranks and even pedal axles.
