2008 Giant Halfway (folding bike)

From memory there's a plastic cap on rhe drive side you pop off, then there's a nut to undo and then knock the shaft out raking the non drive side bearing with it.

The other day this dust seal fell off the stem. 🙄

Tonight (because I cant leave anything alone) I pulled the front mono off and looked at the headset bearings, they are sealed and completely unmarked top and bottom.
Running the top bearing I could feel and hear the balls moving so I suspect Mr Jetwash has been visiting here too 🤬

My biggest dilemma is do I learn how to replace them right now or just put it all back together and enjoy the damn bike then do the headset in a few weeks after I get back from Wales?

This is the only marking on the whole headset "Cartridge System Inside" so cheap generic junk.

Going by the seal I need a 1 1/8th to 25.6mm Threaded Headset, either way I needs done but I leave for Wales on the 15th June and want to take the halfwit with me, sadly all of my free time is taken up with a decking project in the back garden so Im struggling for time of get the protection films templated, cut and fitted before I start building my bike up again.

Stop ******* about. Put the headset back and leave it alone.

Ride the damn thing already.

When your back you can measure the bearings and swap them out.

And stop here on your way, we can go for a roll down the trans pennine on you folder and mine. 🤣

You can pop the seal off the "cartridge" and flush it out, then refill with grease, if you dont have time to source replacements.
