I have an other Intense M1 project on the way based on an older frame, so this one has to go !
I think it is from 2004, or maybe 2003, this is the last version of the M1, before the M3 came out in 2005.
The frame is clean, the paint is very well conserved for a DH bike of this age, just a few scratches here and there but nothing serious. The stickers are very good too.
The frame is developping a couple of tiny cracks. So small that it could be only in the paint, I can't say. One is located arround the weld of the steerer tube (at the bottom), and the other one is on the upper part of rear arm, non-drive side. Those points are known to be the weaknesss points of the M1, they all crack there.
At this point the frame is still rideable and it can remains like this for a long time, depending how it is used, or it can be repaired. My goal was to build an Intense team replica (as used by Kovarik at that time), so more of a show bike, the cracks were not an issue for me.
Progressive 5th element rear shock. As far as I can say it is not leaking, but I don't know if it works well, neither since how many time it has been serviced.
