2000 Marin Mount Vision Build

Enjoying some dry and dusty trails on the trusty Mount Vision this afternoon




Having ridden a lot of more technical trails recently on a dropper post equipped bike, the fixed seat post nearly caught me out once or twice!

You definitely have to mentally shift gears to get the most out of a proper old school set up like this. Once I'd remembered steep roll ins were off the menu and settled into some lovely natural single-track, it rode beautifully, as always.

Planning a bike packing trip to East Dartmoor later this month, and think this is going to be the bike of choice.

Here's a pic of the 1999 Mount Vision Pro, which I think looks pretty sweet.



I'm currently leaning towards something rather like this, only with a polished main frame and black seatpost / bars (and tyres.... coloured tyres can look great on the right bike but they don't do it for me on this one).

i love this and i will love to get one anytime soon.
