1inch ahead springs for p7

Dirt Disciple
Hello

Was thinking of selling my rigid P7R, but after servicing it still is a lovely thing to ride.
So think I may go down the route of seeing if there are any forks (RC36, Manitou, Judy's or marazocchi xc700/pro lo) in good condition with a long length 1" ahead.

Seeing the new prices of P7 I really would not like to have to go to Alu!

Cheers

Nice

Ahead 1 inch then? Steerer length?

Sound good as I see there are a few sprung options from the states to get these working nice (unless they are already!)

If you have pictures and prices please ping them to [email protected].

Really looking for ahead as I don't have any old stems or headsets.

Cheers
Greg

Ti nitride rc36 pace forks? 1997 vintage. The steerer is 1 1/8 but can be swapped, member justbackdated can help, as he did for me when I needed a steerer for my clockwork.

Cheers for the offer of Pace. They would be ideal but with the added cost of brace and steerer this would put it way above what I am looking to spend. By no means is this a retro rebuild, just a nice bike and wanna bit of comfort. If in the future I get into biking properly no doubt it will be for sell :(

Still interested in Judy's or Pace if the price is right :D

So are you looking for some forks with a canti mount? Just asking as potential helpers might need to know.

I've got some Judys too, but not with a 1 inch steerer I'm afraid.

No, I now run v-brakes. Bike is a 97 RS (wish I'd got the englund catridges for the old RS Q21R forks - sold them for next to nothing when some P7 rigids were send from factory).

Needs to be non threaded and will measure the length tonight :D

Cheers for your help

Just to keep you up to date, I managed to get a replacement rear triangle for my son's X1 from a very kind member on here so his forks will not be available after all. Good luck with the hunt.
