1999 Rocky Mountain Oxygen Race for £75!

Why is there such a weak market for Rocky Mountains? A hand-built Easton Elite frame, a Bomber and LX kit for £75? OK, it was collect-only, but London isn't exactly the back of beyond.

Not for me, but quite a nice bike really

For that price a really nice bike!!

I would have bought it, ridden into the ground, then turn into a SS commuter.
You dont get better cheap biking than that! Nice frame too.

I know we differ about the merits of Konas, but the equivalent model Kona in 1999 was called a Pahoehoe (now known as Kula Deluxe I'm afraid). That cost £1,100 new in 1999 and I guess the Oxygen Race was a similar price.

The name Pahoehoe never quite carved a mark in the national psyche, but even so I would expect a 1999 example to fetch £250-300, simply because it's quite a good bike. How can the equivalent Rocky Mountain go for £75?

Maybe even eBay isn't a big enough place.

I think that one must have just gone under the radar – I'd have paid more than that for it without thinking twice. Ho hum…

Ebay seems to be like that though – sometimes the bargains really are just that (never seems to be the case for me though  )
