1995 XTR M950 Group, New Take-offs

I'm posting these in both ebay watch sections, they are from '95 but more similar to the later XTR groups with V-brakes. Parts are pretty much immaculate.

That would be 1996 in 'model years'.

I was wondering about that-I went by the 'U' date code. It still makes the pre-'97 cutoff... but I usually consider the gray stuff with V-brakes and splined BB's to be 'modern' and the 900 stuff as 'retro'.

It's all gonna be retro soon.... 1996 was 15 years ago!

I was saying just for anyone buying and looking for years :)

Of course it would need to be made in 1995 as the 1996 model season starts late 1995. Almost as bad as Magazines
Excellent condition and hasn't faded. Given the cost slightly used and used looking very good goes for on here then that a pretty reasonable start price for it's pretty much NOS condition.

That makes sense-I should try and fit the year in my listing title. When I first started buying parts on ebay to fix my bikes, that's how I usually searched-'1996 Shimano XT' or whatever. I often forget to put the year in the title now unless it's from the 1980's.

The price was tough, the last similar group component-wise sold for $395, it had a cassette, but there was a lot more wear and heavy shoe rub. I looked at individual prices of NOS stuff and tried to stay well below the max-some people want $500 just for a NOS crankset. No. That's just silly.

Besides, with best offer, someone can catch me at a weak moment and get a better deal!

Here are some photos of the Moda, as you can see, it's pretty much NOS.

It's my Grail bike-I have mounted the original fillet-brazed fork and am in the process of picking up the right parts for it. 8)

Wow, that Santana is sweet, would love to see it with the original fork.

Thanks.... I still can't believe I own it! The Specialized fork was the first thing to go, putting the rigid back on made it look much more appropriate. I'll be doing a build thread when a few more parts arrive, I have some decisions to make about the brakes, and I'll need a BB. I can't wait!

i am absolutly peeved that i missed that auction i needed a full nos grey goupset of that period as well.
