Hello everyone.

A bit of a realisation of a dream; 1995 Team Titanium.

Ideally would have liked a 1996 but decided to go full XTR on it including the ridiculously expensive XTR Seatpost.

Best find was the bar ends which are in fab condition with plugs etc.

Luxury item was the XTR cable housing.

1995 Team Titanium
Marin Lite handlebars and stem.
Marin bar ends.
Full M900 group set including headset, skewers and brakes.
XTR titanium crank bolts.
Marin titanium stem bolt.
Shimano BB-UN90 bottom bracket
Mavic 231 CD rims (M900 hubs)
Kool Stop salmon break pads
Manitou Answer 4 forks (serviced myself with new elastomers)
Schwalbe Furious Fred tyres with Aerothan tubes
Deore XT 735 pedals and shimano toe clips.
Marin lite bottle cage.
Ergon SMC core saddle (comfort over style)

Weight 11.07kg - 24.1lbs

Thanks

Matt

Thanks guys. Haven’t managed to give it a real blast yet so will let you know.

It’s light and quick and the XTR is hard to describe on just how lovely it is.

Thanks for the parts Peachy.

Re:

Managed to get out for a mini ride. Was way too cold.

Maybe it’s the titanium but if felt a lot more forgiving than my aluminium Indian Fire Trail.

XTR 900 is a class above.

Managed to get it weighed and it’s just shy of 11.5kg , just over 25lbs which was a bit of a surprise. The catalogue has these at 10.2 kilos and hard to think where I added the weight, unless the catalogue is with standard forks.

Really pleased with the manitou elastomers as these were seized when I got them.

Overall light, quick and full of energy.

Made up.

I think you're right about Marin having weighed it with a rigid fork to get to 10.2kg. Just checking the catalogue it doesn't state outright that the Judy it was sold with is an integral part of the deal... just implies it by showing the bike with one! Plus, I bet they weighed the 15.5" size.

Re:

Yeah, thanks, I tend to agree with you.

The retrobike catalogue is in German, which unfortunately I’m not blessed with knowing, but I couldn’t see Manitou or Rockshock or what I thought would be forks.

It’s not a major biggie as it’s still very light. The Manitou Answers must be one of the lightest performance forks of that year.

I know I added a bit with the saddle choice.

I’m not at the stage of changing out for titanium bolts yet.

Thanks for your response.
