Kona Kilauea – size 18”, Tange Prestige steel tubeset, colour silver with embossed custom decals and custom disc mount & clip-cable routing. This frame is a 1995 model lovingly restored to original colour & decal scheme and updated to include disc mount and clip cable mounting; all professionally restored by the best - Argos Racing Cycling.

Bike has had less than 6 months use since restoration. The frame has had a few scratches in that time, but these have been retouched (touch-up paint included). I have included original Kona Race Light seatpost, bit worn, and Cane Creek S3 headset with sealed bearing races (good).

Looking for £255 excl. P&P.

What's the travel on those forks?
Any more photos, especially of the BB area?
Cheers, Reub

Hi again, tried to upload BB but no luck. New to this website, so if there is any easy way to get it to you let me know otherwise I can email you. Cheers, A

Yes, and what a negative bunch you are!! :(

Just to rest a number of minds on the subject.... the Kona was restored to replicate the 1995 silver version I had as my first bike. A PDF download set of decals were taken off the Retrobike site and used to recreate the originals, but as the colour was not great I had them specially layered to give an embossed look and the right colour - and very nice too! The frame sticker was peeled off the original frame, hence the not so great condition. As for the Argos sticker, they did not laquer this on so I peeled it off.

If you have any doubts still, try ringing Argos and quoting the frame serial number: F5040736

Hope that lays you FEARS to rest.

I'm not fussed at all wether the frame is period correct cosmetically or not, just interested in the ride quality/geometry which we all know Konas do well :D

Am a right assuming this bike has the same geometry as the Hei Hei of the same year and also, how does it cope with the 100mm forks up front?
