Could anyone please advise me where i could purchase spares for a set 1995 Judy DH, i have just bought themand it looks like i require new elastomers due to them been hard and i would like to either overhaul the cartrige (if possible) or replace it.

Any overhaul manuals in PDF format would be much appreciated or any other method

Regards
Steve

Best bet with the elastomers is bin them and replace with speed springs, someone else can probably advise you on the cartridges,in my experiance they always blew in less than a month wether plastic or alloy type!Maybe there are some decent ones out there?

DH models have spring inside not elastomeres .

did you buy the job lot just finished on ebay ?

Origional Judy DH's had elastomers the later models had springs,I can't remember dates for stuff though so these may/maynot.

1996 DH got for sure elastomers (red / blue) plus a second cartridge instead of the dummy stick
1997 had a mix between one small spring and elastomer stack (MCU) and in
1998 no DH (only XL / XLC with double crown)

Before you go on the quest too far. . .
If its got elastomers and a bolt on brace its defo an early judy with damping carts and not a later open bath one. Take the legs off, 8mm key at the bottom, and pull the lowers (sliders) off. Take the elastomer stacks out the top, and then remove the carts with circlip pliers by taking the clips out the bottom of the stancions. Eyeball the damping rods.
The damping rods flexed and rubbed on the seal. Once the rod wore enough, all the oil leaked out. And you can't get replacement damping rods or cartridges. . . You can build in just a dummy pushrod, and run speed springs, but with an undamped spring it will be like a pogo stick to say the least. Fine for a grage queen, difficult for XC, dangerous for DH. . .
