Proflex 855

Yup!

Here she is. Not in bad shape although missing many decals. The decals you see on the left side are missing from the right side and the swing arm decals are missing. Also looks like the fork decals are missing as well. Not totally original with things like V-brakes added and upgraded wheels. But not bad for $60. Needs new elastomers of course.

Here are what bikes they did the comparison with.

Anyone remember those brakes? "...the most powerful and simplest brake system available..." Look good but I don't remember them taking off, kind of look like a cross between Maguras and Arch-Rivals.

I had a set, just sold the rear to a forum member. They worked well but were pretty bulky.

Surprisingly to myself, I too was going to say Proflex 855 and it was! These things must get stored in out subconscious :-D

Pretty good bike for £60
Looks like the swingarm and forks have been painted which shouldn't be too hard to fix and I think Gil has decals for the 855. You also have the rear canti guide on the swingarm that will be needed if you don't run v's (often lost when the owner upgraded brakes bitd)
With some tlc and new elastomers it should be a nice bike to ride.
1995's finest!
