It still climbs so stiff... and the back end still kills trail buzz really well...
The slack seat angle can cause position problems for people with short thigh sections...
I'm running the same frame now with 120mm fox and and 80mm stem. (A bit Ragley-ed?)
So so stable on descents... The original 11 3/4 bb height with pace rigids, now comes right up to a peak district perfect bb clearence. nice slack head angle... makes it more all trail rather than CX speed machine... and the frame is so tough!!!
This is now 31 years old since it's review of 95% in MTB Pro magazine. I ride it to work every day. Had some slight modifications on build to adjust positioning due to my age, but the frame still keeps going fast and strong. I have built another of the frames into a retro version, not quite perfect, but it's getting there, (tyres ).
At 27 years old I was part of this creation, and it still catches so much interest to this day. Love this bike.
