1994 Kona Lavadome - With Acid and Flames

Retro Newbie
OK, two years ago all my vintage bikes were stolen from a garage in Colorado when I first moved to the UK, including my beloved '97 Lavadome that was all tricked out... So the other day I picked up 1994 Lavadome in a mad moment. It is quite battered and no wheels with a very very stuck seatpost. But I could just about afford it. So after I stripped it of rather used and tired parts I found the seatpost could not be removed mechanically - So I went chemical. I used drain cleaner which was mostly Sodium Hydroxide to eat the alloy. It worked brilliantly. Im having a problem downloading the Pics and Video, but I think you all might enjoy the flames.

To upload photos I found Flickr the easiest, you just upload photos onto Flickr and then can simply paste a link in on your post on here and they appear.

The video is good, like a mad scientist or something!

Re:

Ha ha, yes. Used to be in the sciences years ago. The only problem is the splashes of acid and aluminum eating through my clothes. First step in restoration.
