OK, but it still looks pretty good to me. Obviously I don't know how much time you want to put into the sale, but the frame would probably look a lot better if you gave it a nice clean and polish. And I recommend that before you hit the trails, you might consider slotting the front brake cable into the lever, otherwise you might be hitting those pesky trails harder than you bargained for.
For maximum value, you would strip the bike down and sell it part by part, especially if all the parts have been treated with tender female care all their soft lives. e.g., those thumbies could fetch $40 easy, the Bontrager/Titec ti bars are worth $50, the stem $25, the headset $30, etc The frame, in the UK anyway, maybe $200. But maybe that's a bit of a sad thing to do, and you're not sad. The complete bike maybe in the region of $450-500? Or better still, keep it and start riding it again, you might find you need it more than you need $500. No, it doesn't take up too much room, something else does.
Incidentally I assume the seatpost isn't stuck, and if so it's worth saying so. And it's worth saying that the size 17 frame is designed for riders from 5-3 to 5-9. And it's worth linking through to the catalogue pages, which are on here:

Best of luck, hope you see the light in time!
