1994 Koga-Miyata FullPro-S: the Max-tubing FullPro

Not that I plan to ride the FullPro-S a lot in the rain, but after a FluidFilm treatment the frame is well protected. I am prepared.

A couple days ago I started disassembling the bike. Today it was nice weather. I put some effort in cleaning the paint. The paint already had a nice gloss, but there were some imperfections like scratches.

This is what I used:

The original ITM stem is a hinged type stem. I discovered that unfortunately it is cracked.

I do not have another ITM stem available. I do have some alternatives. I'll have to choose one. From top to bottom:
- 3T ProChrome (Columbus Thron)
- Syncros Altura
- Cinelli XE
- Nitto Ultimate Ideal

If there is some functional advantage of the ITM stem then may i suggest you could ask a welder if it's possible to TIG weld it. Posing the question to a knowledgable person ought to be free. (asking such a question that is) Give Google a try otherwise.

Mmm. I prefer a stem with a removable face plate. The Nitto is nice though.
