Yes, it is! It's my pleasure; thanks to you for the quick payment and communication. I better get packing, so that it can get to you as soon as possible...I'm glad it's going to someone in the Retrobike community.

:D

I boxed the bike, and took it to the post office, just to have the post office clerk tell me that it's too big, and they will not ship it. They said the united states post office restrictions have changed, and they now limit all international packages to 108" (length plus girth); my package was 8" to large.
It use to be 118" but changed due to the fuel costs; I can't believe this...why the hell do they measure girth...as if a package won't have another side:

Girth is the distance around the thickest part of the remaining sides.
For rectangular packages, this would be Height multiplied by two, plus Width multiplied by two.

To me this is stupid; it should just be the sum of the LEngth+width+height, not length+wide+width+height+height...

I'm pissed and very sorry, Steve, I will be returning your payment immediately. You have pm.

No international shipping on bikes anymore, or until the usps lifts their 108" size limit. As for fed ex, ups, and dhl, they are all charging upwards of $450 to ship which is insanity.

Refund issued along with my sincerest apologies...I was even excited about sending one of my bikes over to the UK...sucks...or how do you guys say it over there...bullocks???

Fuel prices have dropped again...usps should remove this restriction or at least move it back to the 118" limit it use to be.

Hope you find another steel GT around your way. Guess it's off to ebay with this one, since it's already packaged and ready to go....don't feel like unpacking it...took over an hour to package and cut down the box.

Gutted! Refund received. Thanks for trying, and getting the money back straight away. Sorry it didn't work out.

The restrictions to Europe have not changed. It's been 108" length and girth maximum for years....years! The only affordable way to ship a complete bike to Europe is in two boxes and depending upon how small you can make the two boxes and the weight of them, it runs somewhere between US$120-$140. You just need to read all the USPS details before you run and tell someone you can. This is stil ahuge savings over UPS, DHL and FedEx just take a bigger time investment to pack it all. Value when landing is still the same total on that side of the LAKE just in two parcels/boxes.
