now you have me thinking i'm going to have to look for some of those!!!!
what is fun with a forum, it's when you are stopping on an idea : Other ideas are coming !!!!

The P2 is really what you need,8) 8) and would transform the bike as a toy !

I agree it looks handsome with those P2s, but I'm one of the odd ones out on this forum who believes that dynamics are more important than aesthetics.

Those P2s are the 39cm a-c length intended for frames (from 1993 and earlier) that were not designed for suspension forks. So my question would be whether the Clark Kent was designed for suspension forks. I would guess it was, in which case the P2s would be too short and would give over-lively handling.

As you already have it ready, I would suggest that you assess the geometry by measuring the height of each axle and the height of the bb centre to find the bb drop.

You can be fairly confident that the frame would have been designed for a bb drop (sagged) of c30mm. Say the actual bb drop with that fork was 40mm - the logic then is that as the bb drop is 10mm over, and as the bb is about 40% of the way from the back axle to the front axle, the fork must be c2.5cm too short (i.e., 10mm divided by 40%).

If so, that would indicate that the frame was suspension-adjusted and was designed for a fork of 41.5cm sagged or roughly 43cm static.

P Bones :?

I see a Masi box have you got the fixie?

I was checking out the owners orange one in Capital Cycles, if my Vitus' glue starts to get dodgy I'd definitely think about getting one.

P2's for me if they do not ruin the handling.

Awesome CK 8) 8) !

hmm i understand what you mean there anthony - i measured all three forks this morning from the bottom of the axle to the bottom of the crown race.

rc35 440mm
mag21 430mm
project 2 420mm

so does that mean the p2 will work fine?

its just a masi box unfortunately!! Although it does have a 1995 zaskar le in it!!

i'm going to go for the p2 - and get them either gloss black or strip them and clearcoat them over the steel - thoughts?

The cro-mo forks I stripped on my niece's bike looked great as you can see the brass brazing on the canti mounts. Though if that is not your thing perhaps black would look cooler.

Well I could have sworn that was a 39cm P2, but now I look at the picture more closely, .... well of course it's a very poor quality photo, how can I be expected to ..., etc. Hmmmm.

I think you've proved that the P2 will give similar geometry to the other two forks, and I would guess that the frame is suspension-adjusted, in which case any of those three forks would work in line with the designer's intentions. I was suggesting taking the bb drop as an indication of whether it is suspension adjusted.
