1993? Rocky mountain Nimbus.

I am the winning bidder picking up tomorrow.
My first RM any input appreciated always drooled over them.
I will have a proper look over and get some pics posted.
Another Easton aluminium in the collection.
Good work - even with the weld I think well worth the outlay!

The weld looks slap dash but if believed, it stopped further damage. A decent aluminium welder could probably clean that up and carry out a professional repair if the current job bugs you. Personally the bike and the kit on it, makes a good purchase.

Hi I agree with

the weld I'll look at the repair redo guess it could weaken with more welding. I think the seat post is not inserted to correct depth resulting in damage.

It was a common problem on the early Alu Rockies , same on the Stratos, Cirrus, Experience.

You'll probably find the seat post is 400mm long, as it's a Syncros early one, so goes a long way in.

What do you need to know, if I was local I would have had it too.

I am looking at the catalogues and getting info together and picking up tomorrow - the buyer (orininal) sounds ok too. I have a couple of Easton Elite frames and rate the ride feel. I will post up pics and go slowly on this one try to keep it used look and decals. I would be interested if I could find the builder and welder from the frame no. I have a few on the go Orange and Marin + a Park Pre Team 925.

You'll want to be on Facebook and the Canadian Bike group.
It'll probably have a Yxxxx serial on the rear dropout, actually no, these where made locally not in Japan.
It's been a long time since I remember talking about them

I don't think they where making the Alu frame themselves at this point. But not sure?

A few in that group where working there then.

Anyway, check for the Easton sticker too.
A rare find over in Canada let alone over here. Very little was in the county in 1991, I have one of only 7 Altitude that year to be in the country, think kicked of more in 92/93.

Hi picked it up now will be having a good look over - super impressed the seller was a genuine guy really knew his stuff, raced in the 90's. An added bonus he had the original Syncross forks Super Lites - we did a deal . I am going to slowly clean an not over do it it's had a 27 year sleep. It has super character and period stickers. The weld is neat and does not worry me - done by original shop with warranty bill. Hoping He finds the original bill of sale and sales brochure. Lot's of RM learning to do.

Syncros Powerlites, white ones.
Nice. Match the stem.
They're all technically dangerous and brought Syncros to it knees in legal type stuff I believe, hence they stopped making them very quickly. Something like that.

Have fun. Get a build thread up.
