1993 Orange Prestige Fluoro

Not a huge update but I now have a working left hand M900 shifter installed but it seems to pull too much cable for the chainring setup. I Can get the granny and middle ring working but the big ring gets shifted over on the second click, with the stop adjusted it won't shift. Any ideas?

Tim (just backdated) is hunting out some harder elastomers for me hopefully :)

You should try releasing 1-2 mm of cable from the front mech clamp to ease the tension as it sounds like the cable is to tight mate and good to hear you've got a shifter at last ..

That sound like a plan, I have never had an issue with a front mech before but maybe the roller has added to the issue. If it doesn't work would a top pull mech help?

Hi mate ,

I'm not sure if a top pull mech would make any odds tbh but i suppose it's worth a try if easing the cable tension off doesn't help make things better ..

Re:

Lovely mate, the kit and the finish are great. Getting inspired to give my P7 similar treatment!

Thank you, going to re look at the front mech tonight but still waiting to hear about elastomers. My 13 stone frame squashes the soft elastomers almost flat ;)

Good luck with your build Tom and get a thread up, we love pics.
