You could definitely still get orange/white fade at the beginning of the 1993 model year. Check out the MBUK that introduce the 1993 Shimano LX groupset, hung off a orange /white fade and the various examples using the same decals as yours rather than the classic ones.

Shit, that means this build probably just increased in cost a tad :roll:

The black with orange decals is very cool, but the dayglow orange/white is a classic look imho.

I'll probably build it pretty much as a bike of that era would've been run after a couple of years of use & abuse - so an XTR mech here, a USE seatpost there....
