But you're both comparing a steel Kona to an aluminium Specialized from the perspective of someone preferring aluminium. biking history and have a special place in my heart...but a 96 ish M2 is by far a better frame....much faster and responsive, and don't rust

My point was about steel frames and I am surprised that there are so few steel Stumpjumpers around, compared to Kilaueas and Explosifs.
