Were they satin? I recall them being glossy. I see a bit of shine through the rust in the before photos. I'd clear coat them personally.

I have … as this will be ridden regularly, I figured a tad of clear coat would offer a bit of protection. They don’t look look as good but hey ho

I think i'd just leave them as they are the original satin looks better in my opinion.

I agree they do look better but after carefull consideration I think clearcoat might afford them a “bit” more protection. No doubt they’ll be pretty scuffed you after a couple of rides whatever

I agree with that i've still got mine from new and would never get rid of it, there's definitely something about the 93 Konas

Fully agree. Great to see these bikes get the respect they deserve. My daughters bike is a humble 89 fire mountain, and it stands up for sure
