Greeting from Indonesia :D
Hello everybody, this is my first post on this forum.
Couple months ago I got GT Zaskar LE, I think it's 1993 model based on the serialnumber that have 93 number on it.
I'm very excited to build this bike. My plan is put some purple anodize on this bike and it will run on 8 speed gruppo.
Here is some pic of the frame

Sorry for my bad english :)

Lovely!

Heres my 1993 model, owned from new, with 8spd and later decals as the old ones fell off with age (and are now also falling off with age!).

Cool. looks good. I already saw your bike on this group and it is one of my inspiration to build mine. :D

Thanks!

Its had an odd history of being stolen then recovered, being sold and bought back.

Its only its second set of rims and third set of hubs, its second BB after having covered some 45,000+ miles in its lifetime.

Wow you have many history on this bike dude....
by the way, your put rigid fork on your zaskar, how does it feel? have you compare with the suspension one?
because I have GT 2x4 fork at my garage and I think I will use it. I saw many Zaskar with the suspension fork but I need reference for the rigid one, like yours. :)

you guys are still reckoning in 'miles' ?

I don't know, not yet built it :)

Selamat malam. Welcome to the forum. Your English is my better than my bahasa.

The 2x4 forks are quite sought after. I have them on my '91 Zaskar and love them, so I would recommend using them. The ride is quite firm with rigid forks, but feels very direct so if you like that then it is a good match.

Incidentally, I visit Indonesia every so often, so if you need any parts brought over or have anything nice to sell  let me know :)
