Hi everyone! I have some questions about the first bike pictured above.

The second photo is my 11 year old son on a 1995 Schwinn Frontier that I built up for him to use as a flat bar paved path/ crushed limestone/ gravel bike. It’s main issue is that it is really dang heavy.

I found a 93 C’dale M700 that I’m going to look at tomorrow morning. Anything in particular I should be looking for? Were these 1 1/4” headtube frames? I know that stem will be long for him and I’d like to switch for the cockpit on his Frontier. It has a 1” headtube so I used a Profile Design 1” to 1 1/8” adapter to fit a thread less stem.

Thanks!

I did buy the Cannondale. It was clean and in good, original condition. Had been sitting in a garage for several years. It’s a 1993 and is a 16”. I think it will be a better fit for my son then what he’s riding now, and it sure is lighter!
