1993 Brodie Catalyst

Update. I inspected it a bit more and found a significant amount of rust UNDER the paint and in the seat and headtube. So, decided to strip, refinish and repaint the thing. I decided to go with a guy named Harald Strasser, who was Paul Brodie's painter between 1992-1995 (he told me he probably painted my bike!). He has a custom paintshop in town:

Wasn't cheap, but I wanted a quality wet coat. Chose a custom burnt orange and sourced some vintage decals through Harald's Brodie contacts. I like the new look. Will be building it up as soon as a couple of more parts come in.

Though i wanted an Ibis..but now not so sure....what a perfect steed..

And to have it repainted by someone who most likely was involved originally is just perfect too..

Jealous..very very jealous ( bit in a nice way of course )

:)

The new decals look strange to me. Is it a different type?

Anyway, the frame and the colour are very beautiful ! I love the brodie forks and stems. These parts will make it look perfect !

Cheers,
Spaltinho
