I think what made them so bad is what makes the so cool today. Definitely not the best for evey day riding but very much a big part of MTB history.

Since we got this one, we did take the 1992 9000 apart and will be selling the frame. $200 + shipping and it is on the way :D

That is exactly why we added it o the collection. It is a starting point and an important bike in the evolution of fs bikes. Doesn't make it ride any better though. :D
