1992 Kona Hei Hei 19" frame

Does this belong to someone on here? I've got a vague memory of a hei hei on here a little while ago with that same bevel in the bottom bracket shell (machined for a mavic BB or something). Worth considering as it doesn't look like a bb is included.

Ah, that's the one I remembered, it was that drainage thing that stuck in my mind.

The one on fleabay looks like it has the same machining on the BB face – I'd never seen that before.

Really nice frame – well worth someones money that's for sure.

That will be interesting to watch (dont worry I wont be bidding for it, no cash!) I am surprised you want to sell the Hot mousemat, after seeing your bike last month, it's an excellent condition bike and the paintwork is lovely too.

There's only two reasons I would sell the Hot, an early 90's Hei Hei or A Teesdale Hot. This Hei Hei fits the bill!

The dropouts are the same as this 94 frame, and both also have an oddly un-Kona-like short seat tube extension above the top tube (which the bike in the 94 catalogue does not have, but then what do catalogues tell us?)

However the colours of the head tube badge don't look right for 1994 - and in fact although the spiral was only used from 93, the 92 catalogue shows a Hei Hei with what looks like a spiral and the colours look like the ones on the eBay bike.

The shorter seat tube extension and the head tube decal colours say its an MY95 frame when compared to the 95 Catalogue.

I'll try and get a picture and post it.

Dammit. Could probably survive on a 19" but for the price of a Hot, it's not worth having non-perfect fit. Does this mean anytime an 18" comes up you're the competition? :shock:
