Alright Folks

Just a quick hi, just stumbled on the site by chance after acquiring a 92 GT Tequesta. It is the balck one with the splattered paint effect on the frame. Every single part of it is original, including the brake pads and tyres.

I think the bike has done less than a hundred miles on the road.

Its been sitting in a shed since bought by the origianl owner and then when I saw it I said I would buy it off him but he just gave me it. Bonus.

Everything is compeletely seized so it needs a bit of tlc but frame etc is very tidy.

Quick question, can you change the bottom braket for a cartridge type?

Thanks
Jim

Welcome, and a good starting bike. But be aware, it may have been free but now you're about to start dipping into the money pit

First it's the BB, then you'll decide other parts need changing or "upgrading", and one day you'll start looking for that bike that's just a bit better. And don't expect any help from others on this site, they'll just feed your habit by showing you how much better their bikes are and offering bike bits at "low" prices..... B*#~*@ds

PS. You can replace old BBs with sealed ones, but make sure you get the right axle length for the chainset.
