1992 Fisher Hoo Koo e Koo. Just got it

Retro Newbie
Hello -

For a whopping $50, I got the above off of Craigslsit. It looks all original (Suntour XC-1, Dia-Compe brakes, no front shock).

The guy at the bike shop said the tubing (Japanese Chro-Moly) was "sweet." I'll post pics after I get it back.

Anybody have one or had any experience with these? I intend to ride it out to the local trails, maybe some slightly more challenging spots.

Thoughyts welcome.

Matt

I nearly bought one in the early 90's, always have liked that frame, we need pics! :D

At the moment, it is in the shop (I have no tools and have not worked on a bike since I was 12). I know it had a broken spoke in back, and a cog is missing one tooth and another one is bent. Elvis, the bike mechanic (his real name), said it is a very sweet ride, and aside from wheels and tires, looks original.

As soon as I get it back, I will post.

Can you tell me anything about its ride characteristics? I took it for a quick spin around the block when I got it, but the rear portion of the drivetrain had a clump of mud/grass dried on to it, the chain was rusty, and the toires were almost flat.
