BITD I had the '93 brother to this, the Explosif, which had both the frame and fork in Tange Prestige Concept, I also had the Kona brochure (sadly parted with it when sold the F&F) and it quoted the Explosif, as having the identical tubes as the Hot, only welded in Taiwan, i.e Prestige Concept. Also interestingly in the blurb on the Hot, it advertised custom sizing AND paint, so this hopefully answers some of the questions.

I got tired of looking at the frame and wanted to go for a ride.
Wheels have XT hubs, with specialized rims and Ritchey Megabite tires. XTR crank & FD. UN-90 BB. XT thumbies, canti brakes, and RD. BL-M733 SLR brake levers. XT headset. Syncros post, with newer Terry Fly Ti saddle I had around.
Still need to find a handlebar. And a dog collar. I'm probably going to bolt on a fork crown cable hanger in the front. Might have to figure something out in the back if I can't find a dog collar.
I know, I know, it's not a P2... I've been looking high and low for one. Anyone have a 395mm axle to crown P2?
I figure this is a better fork than the blown out old Manitou 2 forks, though I may order some elastomers and get those going.
I know how you all like pics of half-finished projects!

Took awhile to source all the Kona bits:
Found all these at my favorite, local, used bike parts store:
-Velocity Stem
-Race Light Handlebar
-Kona front fork brake hanger
-Kona seatpost cable collar
-Bought a P2 fork off Ebay from Britain (and probably from someone on here) and had it shipped it to the USA!
Need to get out on a ride ASAP. Better pics and a detailed thread to come soon.
