**PROVISIONALLY SOLD AGAIN**
A truly wonderful example of this early production Kona - rarely availabe in 100% original factory spec.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Hei Hei in fanstastic condition throughout, with no dents or damage to the titanium tubes, the declas are all intact too
Its still wearing its correct Impact headset, Kona Stem, saddle, Kona bars, and correct Project2 fork (for non-suspension geometry), XT Seatpost that these bikes were issued with early on.
All the Joe Murray accessories from the same Kona year book (Joes: toe-clips, bar ends, bottle cage and brake boosters)
Period correct DeoreXTII groupset including pedals, thumb-shifters and separate 2-finger brake levers, XT loose ball BB axle and transmission: XT mechs, chain, cassette and chainrings & cranks, seatpost
A very nice wheelset with built around mint Rigida Ceramic-coated rims, DeoreXT gum-hood Q/R levers, with black DeoreLX period hubs and fitted with a brand new pair of period Kona tyres that have not been ridden on yet. (Kona Equilibrium front, Kona Propulsion rear)
A wonderful bike from the period, I have enjoyed having this bike hung on the wall in my collection for around 20 years now. This early Kona is about as good as you will find an original bike from the period.
Frame stamped on the BB "Made in USA, B20370" - so I understand this to mean its a 20" and possibly the 37th, 70th or 370th off the Lynskey ti-works production line (who I believe Kona out-sourced ti frame production to?). I am not entirely sure how they arranged their nomenclature on frame nos. or what the letter B signifies?
worth every penny of its now £1995 asking price to any Kona fan that remembers the 1991 catalogue and first year of their ti bikes and one of the first Ti Kona's to come to the UK with the importer.
Also includes a selection of period Kona catalogues and publications from the era I have put in the box for the next owner to enjoy.
