1991 Zaskar frame, 16" £75

Right, this has sat in my garage for far too long and only been out on one proper ride (otherwise only a few dawn sessions trying to keep up with an over energetic whippet cross, and couple of 15 mile each way road communtes). It deserves so much better and I could do with the cash.

One 16" c-c GT Zaskar frame, manufactured in 1991, complete with U-brake mounts. I'll happily throw in the modern 24-7 seatpost in 450mm, and appropriately sized Salsa Flip-lock seat Q/R for the sum of £75.00 collected.

I've been running it with Maguras on upside down mounts (just works!) but I can dig you out a more modern U-brake off a BMX if you want it for another fiver.

I can happily post at cost, by your preferred method, or could probably meet up in much of the S-Yorkshire area. I live in Sheffield.

some pretty rough pictures attached below. I've got a whole host of rougher ones too, but not much use to anyone.

Structurally it seems very sound, rides great. needs a bit of polish, but I kind of did half of the job a couple of years ago, so not too bad now. theres a bit of chain-suck scuffing on the stay, but nothing I was the least bit worried about. Seat-tube would benefit form reaming out if you intend to drop the post all the way...The Zaskar decals are still just about there but everything else has gone except a small USE one on the top tube just in front of the seatclamp.

and yes - I'm very sorry about the back tyre. like I said it deserves better.

I'd maybe do a PX for some cash and basic but reliable hydraulic discs, ie juicy 3s/5s, mid range shimano's, possibly hayes, but I really need to be coming away with about £45 cash whatever other bits are involved.

Oh, or possibly the right small jump frame, but probably unlikely to get the sort of thing I want for the sort of deal I'm after. (rear facing horizontal dropouts, ridiculously short chainstays and ideally a rear disc mount something like an azonic evo whatever number or a recent cromo Speccy P1/P2/P3)

what you got to offer?

Hi Si

I have a 14" Azonic DS2 in Red, Comes with Seatpost, clamp and FSA Headset

Rear facing dropouts - short chainstays, not disk compatable however bung on an AZ mount like I did.....

Interested in a straight Swap

Hi, I could be interested. I have a set of Hayes Stroker Ryde dis breaks to swap - front has just been bled, rear is fine (upgraded to the trails on my commuter is the only reason they are spare). I'd be up for a swap deal, but would need to involve postage.
