I bought this beauty from 'stuntjumper1990' back in January. It's a smashing example of a non-zolatone 1991 BV. When I received it I did the obligatory strip, re-grease and re-build; I also replaced a few parts that were either worn or weren't quite functioning properly:

New HG70 chain
NOS left hand shifter
New gear/brake cables
Good condition HG70 cassette
NOS Dia Compe 987 cantis

The bottom bracket was a bit gritty when I got the bike so I've taken apart and re-greased and now it is super smooooth. I also took the headset apart and re-greased. The bike looks and rides like new and apart from the upgraded cantis and cassette it's completely standard, it's even got the original saddle and tyres. There is the odd minor chip here and there but that doesn't take away the freshness of this bike.. the colours are so bright you'll hardly notice any blemishes. Also included is a Marin decal set from Gil as I had to replace the 'N' on the drive-side downtube and the 'Bear Valley' on both sides of the crossbar. There are no pedals included in the sale as I only have one pair for my retro rides', I just swap them round.

The only reason I'm selling is because I've just picked up a 1990 Eldridge. Here are pictures taken today after a wash n' wax.

Bike is available to collect from Chiswick W4 London for £165 or I can post at cost.

that is a great looking Marin. I have not seen a bear valley in these colours before, don't know if would have the balls to ride it!!

As said before, it's a bargain, too big for me thank goodness!
