Well spotted. They’re original, I’m told that everyone at the factory back this happened occasionally as everyone was pretty relaxed.

Brakes done and set up but need a little work, look fantastic though.

Finished. I'll get some glamour shots later but here is the completed bike, I'm very happy.

I went for a utilitarian build. Nothing too glamorous on the component side, just solid, dependable XT. Bulletproof. The kind of build i think it would have run as when raced back in the day. Covered in mud it doesn't matter how it looked as long as it worked.
