1990 Mantiou hard tail (rigid and suspension forks)

We recently picked this one up in Raleigh and put it back closer to original spec. It doesn't appear that they have serial numbers so 1990 is a guess based on Answer taking over fork production in 1991. This one came with both the rigid fork (pictured) plus a suspension fork. 115mm front hub, 145 mm rear hub, offset rear triangle, 90mm bottom bracket, composite fork, suspension fork........pretty advanced for the time.

Remember seeing one of those on test in a mag BITD, way ahead of the game. Where/how do you keep finding these great machines? I appreciate you have a bit of an advantage being on the other side of the pond when it comes to sourcing the classics, but all the same good show chap

I think the early aluminum makers were over-building their bikes since they weren't sure about the durability of the material?

Looks almost new; and short of discs, wouldnt look out of place in todays market.

My kinda bike, I love it. Beautiful forks, hubs, stem, frame.....
