1990 - 1992 Seatpost options

Hoping this is not a repeat thread... but as I look to my '92 Rm Vertex build I am pondering which seatpost.

Honestly I am kinda done... at a blah point with the Syncros posts. Yes They are amazing especially for the era.

But what else did everyone run/love back in the day.

Between 89 and 92 I personally used....

Deore XT (Al) and I wanna say I had a steel version at one point,
Suntour XC Pro (LOVED it)
American Classic (great but expensive)
Multiple Ritchey models which I suppose equates to Kalloy
Syncros
Three versions of Crunch Racing Products prototypes I designed (my company at the time) 2X aluminum and 1X steel

But what else was there back then for quality?
Specialized....
Advair (Diamond Back)
Ringle
Control Tech
Sugio
WTB ???
IRD
Zoom

I am not that rider/builder who won't use say a 94/95 part on a 92 build.... maybe if I were doing a build for a show that would be a different story though.

I also remember seeing and reading about some far out models such as;

A honeycomb carbon fibre inside a 7000 series outer sleeve. Custom Ti models made for pro racers.... etc

Once the high end Thompson's came along I always wanted one and now I that I own a vintage Thompson Elite model I hate it (Yes I am open to trades).

So here I am unsure about which seatpost I want for my dream Rocky frame.

I do know I want a setback/laidback head on it.

Black ideally (to match a Control Tech or A-TAC stem - silver can work though)

Pics as examples....

Nitto S65 comes to mind (Nitto also manufactured the early Ritchey posts). Really beautiful piece and still available new.

But personally on a Rocky I couldn´t bring myself to run anything else but a Syncros post. Otherwise it would be like a peanutbutter and Nutella sandwich.

2nd thumbs up for nitto posts....just very well made. The ritchey posts by nitto and kalloy look very similar, but there are subtle differences in the tops.

I ran Kalloy Uno, great posts in layback or inline. (I really like their inlines, work better than syncros too.)

Look much like the XT/XTR styles in layback
