1989 reflex USA - Aluminium with deore components

Awesome find, can't be many of those about.

This article at mombat has some info, though the bike iteself may be later but looks to be same screwed and glued lug construction:

Reflex appears to have been the retail side of Easton? The bikes appear similar to the Raleigh bikes of that era but are definitely not identical. Jeff Lindsay, of Mountain Goat Cycles, drew up the original geometry for the Reflex line. The anodized finish is a nice touch and the screwed and glued construction is interesting. From what we have found, it appears as if the bikes only existed for a couple of years before being discontinued. There are some advertisements from Look and Peugeot that feature an identical frame so Easton may have sold the rights to the frame. That would make some sense since it would have been difficult for Easton to "compete" against there tubing customers.

keeping my eye on this one i like the style of those kind of bikes as i like the raleigh technium style which is similar.

I'm pretty sure by the pics this was up for sale last year on ebay for a higher price by a seller in royston?

Normally see one or two a year come up on ebay and they generally go under the radar.

Lovely, underrated frames. I happen to have a 16" '88 ALX 99 frame set with XT headset and U brake for sale soon too...

I seem to remember the last one on eBay was in Edinburgh and sold for a reasonable price.

This one looks in even better condition though.
