1989 Kona Explosif fillet brazed stem - info needed

Hey gents picked up a 89 explosif, the bike mechanic I bought it from tells me that the filliet brazed stem with internal cable routing is OEM..trying to figure out who the craftsman would have been...Brodie? somewhere in the Ferndale WA or Vancouver area...likely not Rocky as they did not like Kona. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

The stem is likely by Nitto. It should be labelled towards the bottom of the quill.
