1985 Fat City Cycles Fat Chance

I built this when I worked as service mgr. at Helen's Cycles(Santa Monica,Ca.) for a friend. He now wants me to find it a good home(but not necessarily a rich one...). It's black, all original(the biopace chainrings are here..somewhere).It has a Salsa stem, and a DeoreXT group. Never crashed, rarely ridden offroad. Scratched aplenty, but no rust. I'll pack it and ship it to the right person. Any takers?

Ok, it's £250 and open to Al, Martin, pete=mmc, legrandefromage or daj to provide the best/most honest reason why you should have it (assuming you still want it of course)

To all: I'll post pictures and a price range(it'll be very fair!) ASAP. Regarding the frame size: I believe all the Fatty's we got at first(this was the first year...) were small(16"-18") and I think this one is a 16"(the owner is 5'10"). Thanks for the interest.

OK, some info and ground rules. First: I didn't think the response would be so intense(how little I know...), so I'm gonna do this a little...differently: First: If you have a vast collection of perfect(under glass) machines, do not ask( your friends WILL rat you out). Second: Money is NOT the motive here, rather to find the person that is GAGGING for a Fatty! And finally: It's gonna be a hassle to actually capture this bike, so be prepared to be patient with me,the mail,and God(don't piss her off,who knows what she'll do!). So, what is the fair price I/we should be asking for the old fella? Remember shipping is going to be a major factor. Suggest away but know I'll speak to each of you and decide by some arcane mixture of common sense,intuition,and voodoo.

Thanks for the offer but after the weekends shopping my stable is now full which includes my first fat chance so no more for me!!

Like I said in the original post I am coming out to Glendora in April so if it does not sell and thats close to you I may be interested then to bring back with me
