Retro Guru
1985 Claud Butler Majestic, 531 tubing. Resprayed with automotive paint and a 2-part clear coat. I’ve also brazed on bottle bosses, shifter bosses and the pump pegs for the pump.
Loads of brand new bits and the used bits have all been stripped, cleaned and re-greased.

All cables, Jagwire slick stainless
Bottom bracket,
Headset, Tange falcon
Chain, KMC 9 speed
Seat bolt
Pump (brand new and painted)
Tektro R559 brake callipers with cartridge pads
Bar tape
Bottle cage
The Groupset is 9 speed Shimano Sora with a Tiagra 50/34 crankset and 11-32 at the back and Ritchey cable adjusters.
The wheels are Ritchey silhouette, Ritchey bars, fluted seatpost and a Cinelli 1A stem.
Other bits are colour coded bell, bar ends, valve caps and cable crimps.
Currently has hex skewers but can supply with QR if preferred.
It is a touring frame so has clearance and eyes for mudguards and rack mounts (these were going to be my next purchase).
I’m 6’2” and this is currently set up for me as a size guide.
I built this for myself but another unexpected bike means I’ve got to move it on, hours of work and lots of ££ have gone into it. It’s done about 100km in the dry since I built it and it’s great to ride, shame to see it go.
