Mmmmm, looking good that!

Cheers SP... I’m thinking pipe and tweed for a downhill run from our campsite to the finish next year at MM21

Sweet- the white graphics on the green really works well and the chrome add the Va Va Voom

Cheers Spud, I think so to....

The afore mentioned EX600 uniglide chain turned out to be a UG50..... 🤦 ah well never mind, the search continues.

Best get on with polishing bolts I guess.... :| 861113A8-D27C-4944-A9D3-4A3DDFB6B491.jpeg

looong time ago, I'm sure they were a DA or 600AX sort of thing. You'd need to trawl the catalogs

Re: 1984 Claud Butler Canyon #H130008 Deore Deerhead XT & 600EX

Last bits arrived to finish off the Canyon…
A couple of shiny items fresh out the box so no bloody cleaning required! :D
A Shimano 600EX CN-6208 116L Uniglide narrow chain & a Shimano SM-DG11 derailleur guard
Final weigh-in…. a healthy 29lb 8oz… Daddy’s very proud of his new arrival.

Spec sheet & photos to follow.. BTW you may have noticed that the catalogue went out the window.. well it was getting bloody tedious, so I decided to go down the route of full bling up-grade.
All the kit pretty much hits the spot date wise, ranging from 1983 to ’87, with perhaps the exception of the tyres & saddle (& of course the cables) IMG_6400.jpg IMG_6399.jpg IMG_6398.jpg

Re: 1984 Claud Butler Canyon Deore Deerhead XT & 600EX FINISHED

Corking build to be sure .... the green and silver compliment rather than compete against each other in the bling

Geometry wise it screams the 1980’s at you
