1984 Saracen ATB

Retro Newbie
Regrettably this 1984 Saracen ATB is too small for me and although I love it as a piece of UK mountain bike history - I can't justify keeping it or spending the time restoring it.

Any suggestions of its value?

All pretty original from mid 1984 according to some on this forum.

Suntour/Dia come parts/Brooks B66/Reynolds 501 tubes and made in the UK

The tires are obviously perished and it needs re-cabled but everything seems to work and move freely (except the pedals). A little surface rust in the obvious places.

Tried to sell my mint 85 one with full deerhead for 500....no dice.

Also sold another one 84 in good order with suntour...broken up it made about 250 in total.

And, for calibration, your “good order” is someone else’s “meticulous attention to detail, mechanically and in terms of historical correctness”.
