1984 araya

Nice score.
Its a 1984 MB-MF26A & the 12th frame made after mine, but mine doesn't have chromed forks.

Tange Champion P.G. tubes, Tange Mangaloy 2001 forks. Mudguards don't appear to be original as those have rubber tips & mudflaps, handlebar grips are by OGK.

The 26DX is tig welded with Tange Champion double butted tubes & Tange Champion forks.

Jandd still make the triangle bar bag (handlepac 1) iirc.

Re:

Thank you all for the super sleuthing and comments :)

I have some farmer john lookie-likies, think i'll get them on it as the tyres fitted are bubbling at the sidewalls  , the mudguards are a great match in some lights, even if they may not be original ...... will probably keep em on for now.

only thing is I'll have to keep an eye open for a fitting rear mech as it has a sachs classic fitted at the moment, and of course a nicer saddle.

took it out for a ride afterwards and i'm so impressed with the way it handles for an old bird, slack yet responsive, and the super wide bars are mint

I'm thinking Sunny day 5-8mph bimble to and from a pub or two?
