Ah, I like Annie Lennox. Did you hear her on Desert Island Discs?

"If you don't like something, either do something about it or shut up".

Nice. 8)

Well...tbh I think those kind of comments are the preserve of the rich and/or famous...bit right wing and arrogant......but she looked sexy in 83

Hmmm, I disagree. I'm sick of the sort of conversation like:
"Those politicians are crooks etc etc"
"Who did you vote for? Why not vote them out?"
"I can't be bothered to vote..."

(I now leave to bang head on wall)

I remember seein' the video for it on Razzmatazz, I think it was.........bought the single the next day.

I shall have a look at teh Synth Britannia on der iPlayer.

She's very, very left wing, is Annie Lennox. I'm from a very left wing family myself (can't you hear the wetness dripping off everything I say?) and that's what we all said when we were going off to campaign for some other cause we were about to lose. But yes, she was also a looker.

Ooh, BTW, I found your manual. Did you sort the laptop?

I have one of these:

Bought new about 10 years ago and is now quite sort after for its mix of analogue squidgy sounds and digital effects.

I used to have an uber-rare micro MOOG but had to flog it.

You cant beat a bit of knob twiddling.

Some 'proper' synth work:

I love early synths for the amount of work they require to make a sound, you can leave them running and then layer something over the top and go mad.

I would have loved to sit in his studio and bung something together...

 I agree, and maybe my point was badly put. That kind of comment has a kinda Norman Tebbit ring to it. My point is if, for example, you are a single mother living on the 20th floor of a high rise council block with p*ss reeking lifts and mould growing up your ceilings...of course you are going to do something about it...but my guess is your voice isn't going to quite as loud and heard as a rich celebrity or politician etc.
